JPC is an entity of the City of Johannesburg, responsible for the enhancement of the CoJ’s property portfolio by leveraging the properties and its employees to maximise the social, economic, and technological advancements to achieve CoJ’s strategic priorities and service delivery objectives. JPC manages a diverse portfolio consisting of various classes of assets, i.e., residential, office, commercial, social (sports facilities and stadiums), and service delivery (clinics, fire stations, community centres) assets.

To develop, implement and maintain the supply chain management system, oversee and manage the overall supply chain management operations and develop policies and controls in accordance with laws and regulations to ensure that the organization’s requirements are effectively met.

 

Minimum Requirement

Matric Certificate plus a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or related field as recognized by SAQA at (NQF Level 7 with 360 credits).

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ relevant work experience in managing, implementing and executing Supply Chain Management environment of which 3 years’ must be in Management role/ level.
  • Professional Registration with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) relevant Finance/SCM professional bodies.
  • Local government sector experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of best practices for the SCM processes
  • Comply with the MFMA unit standards as prescribed by Regulation 493 of 15 June 2007 as published in Government Gazette 29967 of 15 June 2007.
  • Knowledge and experience of Preferential Procurement Framework act and its regulations
